Our cutting-edge concrete solution, SRS 4000, utilizes the power of chemistry to permanently inhibit corrosion in reinforced concrete elements. This provides a superior alternative to costly repair practices that require frequent cycles. By chemically reacting with the cement phase of concrete, SRS 4000 dramatically improves its properties, restoring and enhancing concrete strength, reducing permeability, and preventing corrosion of embedded reinforcement.

SRS 4000

Product Details

SRS 4000 is a surface-applied corrosion inhibitor for weak, cracked, and contaminated concrete. This multi-phase, inorganic densifier and corrosion inhibitor is designed for use on hardened concrete. SRS 4000 restores and promotes alkali passivity near the rebar, migrates as a liquid (including in the ionic state), and acts as an anodic site corrosion inhibitor.

When To Use

  • On chloride-contaminated concrete surfaces.

  • When corrosion is present or suspected.

  • On concrete surfaces showing signs of carbonation.

Packaging & Coverage

  • Sold in 5-gallon containers.

  • Distribution rate: should be about 100 sf/gal. It can be adjusted depending on project requirements.

Key Benefits

  • Promotes resistivity.

  • Inhibits chloride migration.

  • Restricts water ingress.

  • Simple to use.

  • Effective on cement-based, steel-reinforced substrates weakened by age, contaminants, and chlorides.

  • Environmentally friendly.

  • Breathable.

  • Extremely durable – cannot be peeled or scratched off.

  • Can be painted, coated, or overlaid as needed.

Expected Performance

  • Reduces permeability.

  • Decreases water-soluble chloride activity.

  • Increases concrete strength.

  • Reduces chemical reactivity.

  • Increases concrete pH.
